Reading
A lifelong habit and one of my favorite ways to explore new ideas, perspectives, and places.
BRITTANY'S LIBRARY
I'm Brittany—a reader, writer, and high-school English teacher. Books and words have always been a big part of my world, whether I'm getting lost in a new story, writing something of my own, or helping students discover what they're capable of saying.
I read more than 100 books a year and write in many forms: personal reflections, journal entries, pieces for publication, and examples for the classroom. Reading and writing help me stay curious, make sense of the world, and connect with other people.

Some stories live between book covers. Others show up in our writing, classrooms, conversations, and everyday lives.

01 / A LIFE SHAPED BY STORIES
Some stories live between book covers. Others show up in our writing, classrooms, conversations, and everyday lives.
A lifelong habit and one of my favorite ways to explore new ideas, perspectives, and places.
From personal reflection to published work, writing gives me space to think, create, and connect.
Helping students find confidence, ask good questions, and discover the power of their own voices.
02 / WRITING & REFLECTIONS
Over the years, I've written about experiences, questions, and moments that stayed with me. This space will bring together a selection of that writing—old favorites, meaningful reflections, and new pieces when I have something to share.
Selected writing will appear here after review.
03 / MY BOOKSHELF
Some books entertain me. Some challenge the way I think. And a few stay with me long after the last page. I'm saving a space here for the stories and authors I keep coming back to.
04 / BEYOND THE LIBRARY
As much as I love a good book and a quiet place to write, I also love getting outside. Hiking, exploring, and spending time with the people I care about give me new perspectives—and often new things to think or write about.
